Abstract
Introduction. Diseases of the circulatory system (DCS) are one of the most pressing healthcare issues, with a significant role in preventing and slowing the progression of DCS attributed to prevention, including through dietary adjustments and addressing nutrient deficiencies.
Purpose. To conduct an open, prospective, cohort, uncontrolled study involving a sample of 100 patients with a 3-month observation period, during which the effectiveness and tolerability of using "AD Medicine" colloidal phytoformulas for the prevention of DCS were evaluated, along with their impact on vascular blood flow and the condition of cerebral and lower extremity vessels.
Materials and Methods. 100 patients were observed over a 3-month period while using "AD Medicine" colloidal phytoformulas (Brain Booster, Reoton Complex, Anti-Oxidant) for the prevention of DCS. The evaluation criteria included hemodynamic parameters, lipid profile indicators, the condition of cerebral and lower extremity vessels, as well as subjective quality of life assessments by study participants and tolerability profiles.
Results and Conclusions. The study provided evidence of the effectiveness of the combined use of the following colloidal phytoformulas: "Brain Booster" "Rheoton Complex" and "Anti-Oxidant" (manufacturer – "AD Medicine", Russia).
Regarding the impact on cerebral vessels: improvement in cerebral blood supply by 63-66%, vascular tone by 55-61%, peripheral resistance by 58%, vascular elasticity by 38%, and venous outflow by 62-67%.
Regarding the impact on blood flow and the condition of lower extremity vessels: the most pronounced effect was observed in peripheral vascular resistance (57.3%, p<0.001); improvement in several parameters (volumetric pulse blood supply, vascular wall elasticity, venous outflow) was approximately 40%; vascular tone and blood flow velocity in the lower extremity vessels showed lesser changes (24.8% and 32.6%, respectively).
Regarding the impact on hemodynamic and lipid metabolism parameters, the changes were minimal: the variation in indicators did not exceed 5% and cannot be considered clinically significant.
